Kopparapu Kavulu Award presented to Pt.Shiv Kumar Sharma

Santoor maestro and Padma Vibhushan award receipient Pt.Shiv Kumar Sharma was presented the Kopparapu Kavulu National Eminence Award 2017 at a function held at Kalabharati Auditorium today.

The award was presented on the eve of the 15th Annivesary of Kopparapu Kavulu Kalapeetam. Kopparapu Eminence Awards were established in 2002 and they were named asw ‘Kopparapu National Eminence Awards in 2014. The earlier receiptents include Padma Bhushan Hari Prasad in 2015 and Madugula Nagaphani Mohan in 2016.

The newly introduced ‘Avadhanam award’ was presented to Narla Rama Reddy of Proddutur for his immense contribution to the field of Avadhanam.

Scholar Garikapati Narasimha Rao presided over the function.Peethadhipathi of Courtallam, HH Sri Siddheswarananda Bharati and Dr.Prasada Raya Kulapathi delivered holy message.
