NETs often wrongly diagnosed as cancer

Citing that Neuro-Endocrine Tumors are often wrongly diagnosed, expert doctors highlighted the need for creating more awareness on the disease at the first AP State conferene on NETs that was organized by the Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital and Research Institute in coordination with Medicine Physicians of India today.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr.NTR Health University Vice Chancellor C.Venkateswara Rao, Surgical Oncologist and MD of MGGHRI Murali Krishna said that NETs were often wrongly diagnosed as cancers.

Speakers from premier institutes such as AIIMS, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and Asian Institute of Gastroenterology also delivered lectures. Consultant Nuclear Medicine specialist of MGCHRI Raghav Kashyap said that NETs could affect lungs, pancreas and others too.
