One killed five injured when school bus rammed a parapet wall at RK Beach

One person was killed and five injured when the driver of a school bus belonging to Sri Prakash that was coming down the Taj Gateway Hotel road towards RK Beach lost control and rapped the opposite footpath and the beach parapet wall at Novotel junction.

The accident took place at around 8pm when the school children came for an award function and were about to return home. The ADCP (traffic) K.Mahendra Patrudu said that the children were yet to board the bus when the accident took place.

According to sources, the deceased was identified as Dharma Rao who is said to be the father of Additional SP of AP SIB D.N.Kishore. Kishore and his son and daughter were also injured in the accident. This apart, a ten-year-old boy, Srikar and the driver of the bus Krishna were also injured.

City Police Commissioner T.Yoganand rushed to the spot and a team would be constituted in association with the RTA to investigate the case.
