Patra India BPO to provide 1,000 more jobs in the coming months

Patra India BPO, one of the leading BPOs has increased its man power in the city from just four in 2007 to 1,605 as on today.

Sources said that it is set to provide another 1,000 jobs within next coming six months after completing documentation to start its expansion project at Tech Hub. The Managing Director Lakshmi Mukkavalli said that the company is looking for space with plug and play facility for further expansion. It was allotted two floors with 29,000 sft at Tech Hub, the new tower built by Tech Mahindra at Resapuvanipalem. Two more floors have been allotted to WNS, another leading BPO. It has two more centres in Bengaluru and Raipur. The Visakhapatnam office was housed in a rented building is the largest unit of Patra India BPO. The letter of appointment was handed to Patra Corporation CEO and founder John Simpson and Ms.Lakshmi at a function held recently to mark the inauguration of the Tech Hub by Minister for Information Technology, Nara Lokesh.

Joint Director of Software Technology Parks of India M.P.Dubey said that 80 per cent of 20,000 workforce in the city were employed in BPO/KPO sector and it had a large potential to provide jobs to local youth.
