Trustee of Sri Satya Sai Central Trust R.J.Ratnakar today inaugurated ‘Sai Vatika’ at Gottipalli village in Anandapuram mandal.

The integrated gram seva mandal was constructed at a cost of Rs.1 crore contributed by a devotee T.K.Rathi. A Rural Vocational Training Centre was also inaugurated on the premises with all-India Seva Organizations president Nimish Pandya and vice-president Nagaraj Ramani participating.

Free training will be provided for needy women of weaker sections in tailoring and fashion design for 45 days and food provided.

Ratnakar while admitting small dip in contributions after the maha samadi of Sri Satya Sai Baba said that the footfall of followers was increasing with the foreigners preferring short stay at Puttaparthi. He said that they are continuing seva activity as per the guidelines spelt out by him. The footfall that is around 7,000 to 8,000 daily is touching 10,000 during weekends, he said.

He said that they had invested nearly Rs.100 crore on modernization and expansion of super-specialty hospitals at Puttaparthi and Whitefield, Bengaluru. Almost 90 per cent work on the R&D for doctoral and post-doctoral research at Sri Satya Sai University developed at a cost of Rs.40 crore had been completed. A research project o low-cost MRI and other health care facilities had been undertaken at Whitefield in partnership with Tata Trusts following an MoU.
