Sivaraju Subbalakshmi chosen for Malathi Chandur award

Noted writer, novelist and artist Sivaraju Subbalakshmi has been chosen for Malathi Chandur Award for 2017.

The award will be given away to her at a programme to be held at the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University in Hyderabad on August 21. Lok Nayak Foundation Chairman Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad announcing this at a press conference said the programme was being organized under the aegis of the Amarajeevi Potti Sreeramulu Samraka Samithi, family members and friends of Malathi Chandur.

The award was instituted in memory of the noted writer Malathi Chandur in 2014. The past recipients of the award were C.Anandaramam, Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani and K.Arudra Ramalakshmi. The award carries a cash prize of Rs.50,000.
