• Over 44,000 candidates take Group III examination:: The APPSC Group III screening examination was held today in the district without any untoward incident. The test was held in 172 centres across the district. Of the 66,914 candidates who have applied, 44,401 students turned up for the screening test on Sunday. The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the test.

• Workshop for physiotherapists concludes:: A two day workshop on 'Art of manipulation, empowering physiotherapists', organized by MyCure Hospitals concluded today. International physiotherapist Sohrab Sharma introduced the participants to the latest techniques in physiotherapy along with Mahendranath of MyCure Hospital. Over 30 physiotherapists from across the city participated in the programme.

• US team visits orphanage in city:: As part of their visit to Indian offices of Patra India and CSR activity, a company delegation from the United States comprising Matt Easterlin chief operations officer, Patra Corporation, Simon Davis, chief finance officer, Paul Misso, VP, quality and process improvement and Katy Murry, SAMS manager visited Generation Yuva, an orphanage in Marripalem. They were accompanied by local officials.

• Power Ministers’ meet postponed:: The Power Ministers’ Meet scheduled to be held here on April 27 and 28 has bee postponed. It is likely to be organized in New Delhi on May 3 and 4 according to official sources.
