  • D.V.Subba Rao remembered:: Lok Sabha member K.Haribabu has recalled the services rendered by D.V.Subba Rao as Mayor, VUDA Chairman, Chairman of Bar Council of India and Manager of Indian Cricket team. On the occasion of his 85th birth anniversary, Haribabu distributed fruits at the Orthopaedic ward of KGH.
  • Joins CITU affiliated union:: GVMC Ministerial Staff Association general secretary A.Appalaraju has joined GVMC Employees’ Association, affiliated to CITU. Union general secretary P.Venkata Reddy said election for recognized union would be fought with Appalaraju in the panel.
  • Award for hospital director:: Director of Homi Baba Cancel Hospital Digumarti Raghunadha Rao received the Rotary Award for outstanding excellence from the Rotary district governor S.V.S.Rao at a function held on Sunday. The award was given to Dr.Digumarthi for his excellence in service. Dr.Raghunadha Rao said over 200 patients are treated every month for free at Tata Memorial Hospital at Aganampudi.
  • ICMR team inspects lab:: An expert committee from the Indian Council for Medical Research has inspected the virology laboratory in Andhra Medical College. The ICMR experts reviewed the activities of the existing laboratory and issued guidelines to upgrade the lab to the next level. After the inspection, Principal P.V.Sudhar convened a meeting with the ICMR experts V.C.Chaturwedi and Deepak Gadkari along with KGH Superintendent G.Arjuna, DMHO J.Sarojini and others.
  • Ambulance donated:: Hobel Bellows donated an ambulance for the benefit of contract workers of all units in Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone on the suggestion of the Development Commissioner of VSEZ Shobana K.S.Rao. Hobel Bellows Plant Head KVSA Verma handed over the ambulance to the VSEZ Administration Building on Monday.
