NAAC grade for Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology

for Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology has been awarded ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. A team of three professors from NAAC, Bengaluru visited the campus and after a detailed examination awarded the grade according to college principal V.V.Rama Reddy.

Raghu Engineering College conferred with autonomous status

Raghu Engineering College has been conferred autonomous sttus by the Union Grants Commission from the current academic year till 2022-23. With this, the institution has the freedom to design industry oriented curriculum and introduce courses and academic programmes which would enhance the employability skills to the students. The college has already been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade and also all the programmes of the college are accredited by NBA.

District Collector Pravin Kumar reviewed the ‘Jnana Bhoomi’ – smart portal for integrated delivery of services relating to education and scholarships at the Collectorate on Saturday with social welfare, tribal welfare, minority welfare and differently abled welfare departments.

Naval officer dies in car accident

A naval officer Avinash Thakur died on the spot while four others sustained serious injuries when the car in which they were travelling hit a boulder on the Yarada ghat road on Saturday. The incident occurred when five officers in the car were coming down the hill.

Decision to slash GST on cashew hailed

Andhra Pradesh Cashew Manufacturers’ Association has thanked the Centre for its decision to reduce GST on cashew from 12 to 5 per cent. A decision to this effect was taken by the GST Council on Sunday. This was followed by a representation by the State Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. Cashew industry is one of the biggest in the State with 700 units covered in the entire coastal Andhra Pradesh.
