CPI demands to revoke GO on bauxite mining

CPI district secretary K.Lokanadham demanded that the Chief Minister should make an announcement revoking GO No.97 on bauxite mining during his Agency tour on Tuesday. The government should also come out with a timeline for launching the Girijan University identifying the location. He criticized for not issuing fresh pattas under Forest Rights Act.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao wants to use drone cameras to keep tab of government lands

AP HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao today discussed with senior district officials about the Dasapalla land scam and alleged irregularities in Land Pooling Scheme in Mudapaka of Pendurthy mandal. He directed them to use drone cameras to keep a tab o the government lands. He directed the District Collector Pravin Kumar and Joint Collector Srijana to strengthen land protection cell, weekly Drone camera surveillance, geo-fencing and build compound wall on VUDA lands. He said all private lands should be placed on the website. He wanted that the government land records should be digitized completely and kept on public domain.
