Naval Dockyard team wins award

The team from Juran Quality Circle of Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam bagged the gold medal for its working model of 5 in 1 Air Water Generator’ for water generation and recycling of condensed water from AC systems at the 17th Chapter Convention on Quality Circle Forum of India, Visakhapatnam chapter. Read Admiral Narayan Prasad, Admiral Superintendent of Naval Dock Yard, Visakhapatnam awarded prizes to the winners.

NAAC team visits Krishna College

The peer team from National Assessment and Accreditation Council recently visited Dr.V.S.Krishna Government Degree College and interacted with the facility and students. The team visited various departments and enquired about the facilities provided on the campus.

26 skaters selected for national event

Winter Games Association of Andhra Pradesh has announced in a statement that 26 skaters have been selected for the 14th National Figure Skating Championship at Skate, Gurgaon, NCR which is scheduled to begin on October 1 and 2. In the 13th National Ice Figure Skating Championship, skaters from Andhra Pradesh have grabbed a total of nine medals and also stood as the overall championship.

PDS rice seized from rice mill

Vigilance and Enforcement Department officials conducted raids on Balaji rice mill at Anandapuram and seized huge quantity of rice around 20 tonnes meant for Public Distribution System today. Officials said that the owner of the rice mill had been procuring PDS rice at a cheaper rate from a few ration shop dealers in the city and mix the same with boiled rice and sell the adulterated stuff for Rs.50 per kg.
