Former MLA Chengala Venkata Rao denied bail

The Hyderabad High Court while dismissing the bail petition moved by former MLA Chengala Venkata Rao who was convicted life imprisonment.

The Division Bench comprising of Justice Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice J.Uma Devi said that under extraordinary circumstances only bail can be granted but not possible to grant bail for the life convicts. The court said that so far no such incident took place in the judiciary system. The court however, admitted the appeal filed by Chengala Venkata Rao.

It may be recalled that Former TDP MLA Chengala Venkata Rao sentenced life term in a murder case.
